Singaporean cuisine on its way to Houston

A Singaporean eatery will soon open its doors in Houston’s Garden Oaks district.

The small restaurant should be

launched in a matter of weeks. Named ‘SING’, it will offer fast-casual food prepared swiftly. Promotional Drinkware is often used to showcase new eateries in Texas like this one.

Jerry Lasco, a restaurateur who is behind SING, told the Houston Press:

“All of the dishes that I crave from China, Vietnam, Thailand, India and Malaysia were brought together in one beautiful place. SING is our tribute to Singapore, the great melting pot.”

Lasco is working with Cuc Lam, who will be the chef in charge of concepts. She has decades of experience in producing Asian cuisine. A wide range of beverages, including specialty tea drinks, will be made available to the public, and it is likely that 90% of the food menu will be free from gluten.

Customers who want to eat inside the restaurant should be able to use one of the communal tables, but the premises may fill up sometimes because of its relatively small 1,300 square foot area. Fortunately, hungry consumers will be able to have their specific needs catered for on a to-go order basis.

The precise location of the building has yet to be revealed, but the Revive Development Shopping Center has been selected as an appropriate site for a pop-up.
