The exhibition "Radical: Italian Design 1965 – 1985: The Dennis Freeman Collection” is showing at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston for the rest of October.
The showpieces were gathered from the collection of Dennis Freeman and half were gifts to the museum. It features furniture, lighting designs, display models and paintings. It also has prototypes from architects and designers. Some of the pieces were created by Archizoom Associati, Lapo Binazzi and Studio Alchimia. The complete collection is a representation of the Italian design of that era.
The museum is open Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sundays from 12:30 to 6:00 PM. The admission for adults is $19, $16 for seniors aged 65 and over and $12 for youth over the age of 12.
This exhibition is sure to appeal to art lovers and interior designers from all over Houston. Local Stationery printers are often asked to provide the printed advertising for such shows. Visitors to the exhibit can purchase a full-color illustrated catalog at the museum shop.
