Houston plans health fair for mid-May

Houston families who would like to learn more about how they can be proactive with their health are encouraged to drop by an event that will be held in the city this May.

Whether they are a senior, veteran or want to bring the whole family, everyone is invited to attend the health fair that will be held at the Sunnyside Health and Multi-Service Center. It will serve as both an awareness raiser and community builder, and many of the activities will be free.

The participants will be able to access free screenings and other wellness checks, and there will also be workshops and seminars to sit in on. Both physical and mental health will be in the spotlight, and live entertainment has been planned as well. Local businesses and service providers will be setting up shop in the resource fair, and raffles and giveaways, along with food vendors, will round out the celebration.

A resource fair or other gathering can be a way for a community to be proactive when it comes to public health. Promotional pens and other sway may be crafted for a function by printers in the local area.

Houston individuals and families alike are invited to include this special event in their plans for May 18th. It will run from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.
