Some botanically based TLC is part of a Mother’s Day celebration, and all Houston moms and mother figures are on the guestlist.
Ponderosa Blooms has partnered with Buchanan’s Native Plants for an activity that will celebrate the role moms play, and those interested can purchase a ticket for themselves and their own “leading lady.” The class will run for one hour.
The participants will be working with a variety of seasonal blooms and will be taught the basics of floral design. Everyone will craft their own bespoke centerpiece-style bouquet, and they can take their completed project home with them after the session has drawn to close. Tips for preparing the flowers and foliage so they will last for as long as possible will be shared, and ticketholders are welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks if they wish. Tickets for the activity are $85.
May will see many communities, small businesses, and not for profit groups organize special events with moms in mind. Keepsake-style promotional products to distribute during a Mother’s Day gathering can be prepared by a local printer, which will have various options available.
