This August, Houston will be playing host to an activity that will take its inspiration from the art of origami.
The city will soon welcome its 2nd annual Origami and Arts Festival, and the whole family is on the guest list. As it will take place indoors, it will be held rain or shine, and its schedule is packed with learning opportunities and other activities.
The organizers of the day have built a schedule that offers origami demons ,workshops and other hands-on learning, and the will be led by subject matter experts. Performances of dance, music and live arts are in the works, and everyone can “get their shop on” in the makers’ market. Interactive art stations will give the young and the young at heart some extra fun, and community groups have been invited to participate. Raffle draws and prize giveaways will round out the gathering.
Local festivals can help to draw attention to a particular group or activity, and Print shops will have a variety of ways to help. They can provide everything from promotional products to hand out the crowd to full size Banners, pop-up signage and other materials.
The Southwest Houston Origami and Arts Festival will be on offer on August 2nd at 7500 Bellaire Boulevard . It will be open to the public from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
