Houston’s senior set is on the guest list for an activity that will combine learning with fun in a luau-themed setting.
The Houston edition of Senior Citizens the Spotlight will give the city’s older adults an opportunity to learn more about the services and supports that may be helpful to them in their own home area, and it's free to attend. It may also be of interest to veterans, families and caregivers.
The goal of the event is for everyone to walk away feeling informed and empowered, and it will be a one stop shopping style activity. Healthy living, recreation and general health will all be on the agenda, and the gathering has been organized by Senior Trade Shows as part of its expo series.
To help make the function a success, the planners are hoping to hear from volunteers as well as vendors and organizations that feel it's a good fit for them. Its listing explained that it's one of a series that will be held in other Texas communities.
