The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center offers the public a chance to connect with the natural world, and this Mother’s Day, it will be hosting a program with moms in mind.
The center has created an online workshop that will see kids aged five and up creating container gardens to attract pollinators, and they can be grown on a patio, balcony, or deck. The function will take place using the Zoom platform, and both members and non-members are welcome to participate.
One they have signed up for the activity, the attendees will be able to pick up their supply kits at the Arboretum, and these will have everything needed to complete the project. The species included will be attractive to native pollinators, and the video portion of the workshop will offer care tips and other helpful details. There will be time to ask questions, and the organizers explained that it will be a good chance to for local youth to learn more about the plants in their area.
Providing printed care tip sheets with each package of items distributed during this sort of hands-on activity can help to keep the gardens looking great for a long time to come. Stationery printers can supply these, along with an assortment of other marketing materials.
This online project has been scheduled for the afternoon of May 9. It will start at 1:00 pm.
