Houston Humane Society holding holiday home raiser

The Houston Humane Society gives a voice to some of the least fortunate pets, and it is currently running a program that it hopes will help all of its furry friends find a new home for the holidays.

The Society offers a variety of animal welfare related programming and other events all year long, and its ‘Empty The Shelters’ event will run throughout early December. It will be offered at its venue located at 14700 Almeda Road, and its organizers are hoping it will be a big success.

Members of the public who are on the hunt for a new furry, scaly, or feathery member of the family are encouraged to stop by the shelter and meet their new best friend. Thanks to support from the BISSELL Pet Foundation's Holiday Hope campaign, the adoption fee will be lowered to $25.00. As well as dogs and cats, the shelter provides a home for birds, reptiles, and small animals, and several clinics have partnered with the organization to provide a free three day follow up pet health check.

Animal rescue and re-homing groups often count on the generosity of the public to perform their work. A poster printing company can help to spread the word while still leaving plenty in a not-for-profit organization’s marketing budget.

The Houston Humane Society will be running its Empty The Shelters event from December 1st to December 15th. It will be open from 11:00am until 6:00pm each day.
