As another fall gets underway, the city will be joining others all across North America in the National Night Out program. It encourages community building and often includes interactions with law enforcement and other first responders, and this will be part of the installment planned in Houston.
The Eastwood Civic Association has scheduled a combination of a general membership meeting and social gathering. Several representatives of the local police department will be on hand, and everyone can enjoy the tacos and ice cream on the menu. Kids can have their faces painted, and lawn games will be on the agenda as well. People are welcome to bring their coolers and portable seating so they can sit back, relax, and join the party.
