Houston fundraising walk to aid child heart health

Thanks to a Houston fundraiser, kids with heart defects will have a helping hand next month.

The very first Houston Congenital Heart Walk will be hitting the road this November, and it will be giving its participants an opportunity to enjoy the views on offer at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. It will be family friendly, and while it is free to take part, everyone who does is asked to fundraise, as the proceeds will be donated to The Children's Heart Foundation.

The route the walkers will follow will be approximately one mile long, and there will be special fun for its younger participants. Costumed characters will be circulating through the crowd, and food and live entertainment are both in the works. A memorial area will be set up in honor of those who lost their fight.

The event listing notes that one out of every 110 children born in the USA has a heart defect, so this celebration could make a big impact.

One of the jobs often undertaken by an event planner is choosing Banners and other décor. This will be available at area banner printing companies, with options to suit any budget.

The first ever Houston Congenital Heart Walk will be held on Sunday, November 6. The activity will begin at 8:00 am
