Galentines Day originally started as a day where women could celebrate friendship, and this is the spirit behind a special event planned for a Houston golf course.
Pine Forest Country Club has set aside a day in February for its Galentine's Ladies Golf activity. All women are welcome, and it aims to be a function filled with fun and laughter.
The ladies that tee off will also be treated to snacks and refreshments, and as the event will be focused on enjoying each other’s company, all skill levels may take part.
A golfing professional will be on hand to provide a complimentary lesson so everyone can up their game, and everyone is invited to mingle over cocktails on the patio afterwards.
Golf courses often house fundraising tournaments and other special activities, and local companies can be invited to show their community spirit by donating corporate gifts to use as a prize. Sponsorships also provide a way for local businesses to get involved, and their logo design can be included in a function's marketing materials.
This afternoon of Galentine’s Golf will hit the green at 3:30pm on Tuesday, February 13. The course can be found on Clay Road in Houston, and additional information is available through the event listing online, along with a link for attendees to book their place. No registration fee is required.
