Houston club hosts holiday party for dogs

While the winter holidays may be far away, a Houston event will use them as the inspiration for an activity designed to appeal to local dog parents.

The Southern Paws Meet Up Club will be the host for a pooch party that will have a theme of “Christmas in July”. Its agenda offers a variety of activities for the canine guests to enjoy along with their people, and tickets start at $10.00 each.

Those who attend the gathering are invited to dress their pet in festive attire, and a costume contest is in the works. Raffles and other prize draws will take place, and there will be plenty of photo ops as well. A full-service bar will be onsite for anyone who would like to purchase a drink, and an area will be set up for any of the furry friends that need to relieve themselves.

To help ensure the function is full for all the guests, retractable leashes will not be permitted. It was also requested that, for the safety of all, aggressive dogs not participate. It was explained that those who bring a pooch to the party will be asked to sign some paperwork before they enter. Letterheads, waivers and other business documents can be ordered from Stationery printers.

This gathering for Houston’s four-legged friends will be on offer on July 28th. The venue for the afternoon will be 3519 Clinton Drive.
