Houston Arboretum and Nature Center to host salute to archeology

The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center both educates the public and preserves biodiversity, and it has an activity on the way that will combine horticulture and archaeology.

The venue has schooled its Arboretum Archaeology Day, and it will provide a glimpse into the world of discovering the past. It will be co-hosted by the Houston Archeology Society, and it will be a hands-on event.

The public that come out will be invited to view a variety of historic artifacts, and they will discover the tools archaeologists use in their work. There will be skulls from native species to view, and everyone can try their hand at measuring pottery shards and reconstruction of a piece of ceramics. The younger guests can try their hand at the Soil Screening Lab, although a small fee will be charged for this. This portion of the day will take place outside. The rest of the celebration is free for all ages.

A themed event can attract a large crowd to a venue, and a banner printing company can help to make sure a function is a success. It can provide everything from decor to marketing Posters, and which can help to gain even more attention.

The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center will be celebrating the connection between horticulture and archaeology on February 24th. The event will run from 10:00am until 12:00pm.
