Fort Worth to celebrate annual Clamato Michelada festival

The community can visit General Worth Square in Fort Worth this October to celebrate Hispanic heritage at the 4th Annual Clamato Michelada Festival.

The Clamato Michelada Festival is a competition local restaurants enter to see which eatery can make the best version of the beer and lime cocktail. Numerous businesses will be joining the contest, including Miches Tex, Texas Turkey Legs, and Micheladas Escolar. Guests can try free samples during the festival, and listen to live music provided by Bidi Bidi Banda and the Squeezebox Bandits.

Money raised at the event will help support Connect Respect, a nonprofit group that wishes for people to make connections through peaceful exchanges and clear understanding. A portion of the funds will also support education scholarships for local students. Organizations that participate in festivals such as this can use poster printing to gain community interest for their cause.

The 4th Annual Clamato Michelada Festival will be held on October 13 from noon to 8:00 pm. There is no cost to attend, and the festival is appropriate for all ages. Micheladas served at the event will be available with or without alcohol so that everyone can try a sample. Attendees will be allowed to bring chairs and blankets to the festival, though they may not bring any coolers, pets, or outside food and beverages. The event will occur rain or shine.
