Fort Worth sets date for trash clean-up day
Fort Worth residents who care about their community will be rolling up their sleeves and pitching in with an activity that will clean up a local green space.
Eagle Mountain Lake is about to get some TLC, thanks to the efforts of the participants in the 2025 Fall Trash Bash. It will begin in the early morning, and after the work is completed, the volunteers will be treated to a special “thank you”.
Those who register for the event will be cleaning up litter and other trash from the venue, and the project will be running for two hours. After this, the volunteers will be heading to the Eagle Mountain Lake Office for an after party that will offer them a tip of the hat for their efforts. The project is one of three that are scheduled for the Fort Worth area on various dates in September, and they are expected to attract thousands of hands-on helpers.
To further acknowledge the community spirit of the participants, they will each receive promotional products, including tee shirts. Those who register after August 22nd or who do not complete their registration correctly may not be guaranteed a shirt.
This day of environmental advocacy will begin at 8:00 am on September 6th. The after party will follow at 10:00 am, and the Tarrant Regional Water District’s website provides additional information for anyone interested.
