Fort Worth sheriff's department to offer investigation course

Blue to Gold Training will be holding a class in December at the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department in Fort Worth.

The Advanced Criminal Investigations course is a program that teaches students how to become proactive officers and detectives. Topics covered in the class include burdens of proof, constructive possession, and dealing with hotel rooms. Those who complete the program will learn how to avoid pitfalls during consensual searches and conduct an investigative detention. Each attendee will also be given the Search & Seizure Pocket Guide.

The teacher of the investigations course is Anthony Bandiero, the founder of Blue to Gold Training. Bandiero is an attorney and retired law enforcement officer who is a certified instructor for subjects such as emergency vehicle operations, verbal judo, and pursuit policies. He was an adjunct professor at Great Basin College and ITT College, and he went to school at Gonzaga University of Law and Harvard University. He is also the author of the Search & Seizure Survival Guide.

The criminal investigations lesson will be held on Tuesday, December 6 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The class can be attended in person at the sheriff's department or virtually. Those interested in taking Bandiero's course must pay $149. Teachers who lead classes similar to this may promote their upcoming courses to local students by using poster printing.
