Fort Worth festival to celebrate the Western Swing genre

Fans of Western Swing can attend a festival in November held at the historic National Hall in Fort Worth.

The Cowtown Birthplace of Western Swing Festival is a multiday concert organized by a non-profit organization that features many talented musicians. Attendees can hear music from performers such as the Lisa Layne Band and Justin Trevino. Other events held during the festival include a private film screening and stockyards tour.

Western Swing is a type of dance music that was first created in 1930 by Bob Wills and Milton Brown. The genre combines frontier fiddle with elements of jazz, blues, polka, and mariachi. Wills and Brown later joined forces to create the band known as the Light Crust Doughboys.

Sponsorships for the program will start at $1,000, while the most expensive sponsorship package will cost $100,000. Businesses that donate to the festival will receive VIP tickets to the concerts, free dinners during the event, and recognition. Organizers for festivals like this can honor sponsors by including their Logo Design on event signage.

The festivities will begin on Thursday, November 11 and will last until Saturday, November 13. Admission is listed as $30 per day, or a three-day pass can be bought for $90. Those interested in attending the stockyards tour can pay $10 for the experience – this will be held on November 12 and will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
