Fort Worth class crafts begonia planters

While many may be familiar with tuberous and “wax” begonias, there are other species to discover, and these will be starring in an activity planned for Fort Worth Botanic Garden.

The Garden, which is home to North America’s largest recognized collection of begonias, will be teaching how to build a terrarium that is well suited to these plants. The session runs for two hours, with registrations still being accepted at the time of writing.

The activity will begin with a visit to the begonia collection so the attendees can view and learn more about them. After this, the group will be walked through the steps of preparing their terrarium, including how to provide it with the care it needs to thrive. The materials are covered by the registration fee, and after they have finished, attendees will be able to stroll through the event and enjoy the rest of its display.

Working with plants can be a relaxing way to reconnect with nature. Sheets of care tips and other materials for a class can be crafted by Print shops, which will also be happy to prepare dibblers, custom printed seed packets, and other Promotional Products.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden will be offering an introduction to the art and science of building a terrarium on June 7. It will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
