The CultureMap Tastemaker Awards, an annual rite of spring for Dallas gourmets where top restaurant and bar talent are recognized and celebrated, has been postponed, with a new date set.
The extravaganza of food and drink will, as usual, begin with the tasting part of the event. Attendees will sup on an assortment of sweet and savory items from nominees while also sampling signature cocktails, champaign, and beer. The evening will conclude with the awards ceremony revealing the 2020 winners.
The 2020 categories in Dallas are: Wine Program of the Year, Bartender of the Year, Brewery of the Year, Best Queso, Neighborhood Restaurant of the Year, Best Bar of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, Pastry Chef of the Year and Rising Star Chief of the Year. All of these categories will be voted on by a group of judges. The Best New Restaurant will be voted on by culture map readers in an interactive tournament.
Awards are a source of bragging rights for any business that receives them and are almost always included on Business Cards and Letterheads.
Originally scheduled for May 7, the CultureMap Tastemaker Awards is now set to take place at Fashion Industry Gallery on July 30. Early Bird tickets are available while they last for $50 and $99 for general admission and VIP respectively.
This event is sponsored by Topo Chico, Dripping Springs Vodka and Deep Ellum Brewing Company. The North Texas Food Bank will receive a portion of the proceeds.
