Opening date decided for Dallas Thrifted Threads

A Houston-based, trendy vintage store will soon open its first Dallas location in Deep Ellum.

Thrifted Threads, which operates stores in Houston and College Station will be opening a 2,500 square foot store just east of downtown at 2646 Main Street in a historic building

The new shop will carry clothing dating from the 1970s – 2000s at a location that has housed jewelry and clothing stores in the vicinity of a cider bar, art gallery and tattoo shop. Customers will find the clothes arranged by colors amide a décor dominated by free arcade games and a motorcycle display.

Print shops are adept at creating necessary business signage that fits into an enterprise’s décor.

CEO and founder Laith Awad of Thrifted Threads started the business as an online resale shop in 2017 while still a teenager. Nearly five years later he launched his first brick-and-mortar store in Houston primarily selling quality second-hand fashions and retro styles. In a statement Awad said:

"I want our shoppers to come in for the first time and be inundated with high-quality pieces that will make the perfect addition to a collection or serve as the start of a new one."

The appeal of second-hand clothes is that they are environmentally friendly and often more affordable than new clothes of a similar quality.

Thrifted Threads is scheduled to open November 2.
