Newsstand-themed eatery slated for Deep Ellum

A new restaurant-bar concept from a trio of celebrities, sporting a newsstand theme and called Chloe’s Newsstand, is in the works.

The threesome – Hank Keller, entrepreneur; Remi Ayodele, Super Bowl champion; and Chef Rami Rassas – have chosen the Pacific Avenue mixed-use development known as The Epic as the location for their new endeavor.

Diners will find a décor that includes classic photography, subdued lighting, booths, graffiti and an old newspaper rack complete with old newspapers. In describing the atmosphere, they are going for Keller said:

“We want people to feel like they’re someplace unique and exclusive without feeling pretentious.”

Print shops are adept at creating signage, Menus and business Stationery that promotes a business’s theme and contributes to its atmosphere.

American cuisine with shareable tapas-style plates will be served and drinks will include old favorites as well as creative specialty cocktails.

Keller runs a promotions and event company called Highland Concerts and has experience in raising capital. His name has twice appeared on the “Empact 100 List”, which is made up of the Top 100 entrepreneurs in the United States under 35 years of age.

A native of DFW, Ayodele played for the University of Oklahoma before moving up to the New Orleans Saints, where he won a Super Bowl ring.

A former Master Chef contestant, Rassas, who is nicknamed Chef Rami Raw, specializes in at-home private dining and meal prep.

Chloe’s Newsstand is expected to open in early 2023.
