Most Uber office space in Deep Ellum up for rent

Uber Technologies has decided to sub-lease out the majority of its office space in The Epic building located at the corner of Good Latimer Freeway and Pacific Avenue.

Uber leased 168,000 square feet over seven floors and is now looking to find renters to sublease 117,000 square feet of that original space. The company still has plans to move into The Epic II, a second office tower next door to the first, The Epic I. The second tower will not be opening until 2022 and according to a Westdale Real Estate Investment spokesperson, Uber does not think it will need its Epic I space before then.

Banner printing services are highly effective when it comes to informing the public of rental space availability.

As recently as February, Uber was busy trying to swell its ranks. The company contracted with recruiters in order to hire 3,000 employees for offices in the Deep Ellum building. As COVID-19 tightened its grip on the Dallas area, the company informed BisNow that although it was “temporarily pausing construction” in Deep Ellum until 2021, it was not expecting to make any changes to its long-term plans for growth in Texas.

A Westdale Real Estate Investment spokesperson told BisNow that as the economy picks up again, Uber will be once again poised for growth, noting that the attributes that prompted the company’s relocation to Dallas – such as its business-friendly environment and available labor force – are still here.
