A spring opening is planned for Saaya, a new bar from Milkshake Concepts, the company that also brought Harper’s, The Finch, and Vidorra to Dallas.
The name Saaya is ancient Sanskrit for shadow, refuge or shelter. A release from Milkshake Concepts, explained that the new enterprise, to be located in Dallas’ premier entertainment district of Deep Ellum, will provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of its urban setting. Saaya will include live entertainment with traditional hookah and private Karaoke suites.
Saaya will be located at 2511 Swiss Avenue, next to Milkshake’s swanky nightclub Citizen, with the idea being that a synergistic relationship will develop between the two businesses. Another of Milkshake Concepts endeavors, the upscale restaurant Harper’s, can be found a mere block away in the Epic building.

The décor and food at Saaya will be Mediterranean in nature ,with a menu featuring small Mediterranean-style tapas called mezze that are designed to be shared among family and friends. Also, on hand will be a variety of freshly baked Lebanese flatbreads called Manakish.
To further promote an authentic Mediterranean vibe, the 5,400-square-foor space will include an expansive patio. Outdoor space will offer lush native greenery while, inside, rich, colorful fabrics will be seen throughout.
