Everything old turns new again for Dallas Italian eatery

During the late 1990s, Tarantino’s was the place to be, and now the swanky Italian restaurant and bar is returning to its former location in Exposition Park.

Peter Tarantino, the owner, moved his restaurant to Deep Ellum, but the down-turning economy forced him to shut it down. Having harbored a dream of reopening Tarantino’s, the restaurateur returned in 2015 to look at his former location; however, the necessary updates were more than he could afford.

The former Expo location of Tarantino’s was most recently the site of Expo Bar. Wayne Roden brought the building up to code before opening the Expo Bar and when that establishment, closed Peter Tarantino jumped at the opportunity to regain his former location, which only required some cosmetic fixes, among which was replacing the bar.

Tarantino envisions a restaurant, full bar, and something new for the site, a small vinyl station, in recognition of his hobby – collecting vinyl records. Featuring tempting and robust dishes, Tarantino’s homestyle Italian cooking is expected to attract a delegation of hungry Dallas resident to revive the old Tarantino’s experience for today’s diners.

Promotional Pens, along with other customized items, are commonly employed to advertise newly opened establishments.

It is anticipated that following some cosmetic fixes, among which is putting in a new bar, Tarantino’s will open at its former location of 3611 Parry Avenue either this December or in January 2020.
