Later this year, an Edomae-style restaurant called Tatsu Dallas will be opened by chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi in the newly-renovated Continental Gin Building.
Sekiguchi, who is originally from Japan’s Saitama prefecture, is a fourth-generation sushi master specializing in the traditional preparation of Edomae-style sushi. In accordance with Edomae philosophy, Sekiguchi plans to offer a Omakase sushi experience using only the finest globally sourced seasonal fish in an intimate eight-seat setting at reasonable prices.
Revitalized to preserve its past, yet still keeping Deep Ellum’s exciting future in mind, the Continental Gin Building was constructed in 1888 and was at one time the principal cotton processing equipment manufacturer in the U.S. Reimagined for the first time ever, the Continental Gin Building is offering flexible office suites in an assortment of sizes and restaurant concepts with building-wide amenities.
