Recently, in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas, a new dessert shop has opened that promises unique twists on dessert favorites.
All of 2018’s trendy dessert favorites can be found at Twisted Treats and include cookie dough, milkshakes, popsicles, and soft-serve ice cream with a few signatures. Customers are even encouraged to build their own.
According to Trent Nabors the manager at Twisted Treats, so far watermelon has proven to be the most popular flavored popsicle, while snickerdoodle is the top-selling cookie dough. In ice cream, strawberry fields, which contains cake chunks, graham crackers, and strawberries, takes the top spot.
Among the other popsicle flavors available are limeade, cherry, hibiscus, avocado, and coffee. The shop’s cookie dough recipe is shelf-stable due to being egg-free.
A decision to make Twisted Treat’s cookie dough and popsicles off-site was made with an eye to the company’s future growth. Products can be shipped to all stores from the central location for quality control and continuity.
Wasting no time, business card printing has likely already been ordered for the company’s second location, which is expected to open in approximately five weeks.
Twisted Treats No. 1, which opened May 29, is located between Hide Bar and Oni Ramen at 2820 Elm Street. No. 2 will be on SH121 by TopGolf in The Colony.
