The Dallas PD (police department), in conjunction with WorldVentures Foundation and Nancy Lieberman Charities, will be dedicating two new Dream Courts (the 32nd and 33rd) for the city’s youth.
Built in underprivileged communities to provide the children there with multipurpose, top-quality play spaces, Dream Courts offer a safe place for social interaction, playing basketball, and learning about the importance of teamwork. Two new such spaces are to be dedicated in the Dallas area, one at 3700 Dixon Ave. and one at 2010 N. Washington.
Grand openings, as well as dedications, often prompt the use of a banner printing service. The Dixon Ave. Dream Court will be dedicated today, December 6, at 4:00 pm at the Larry Johnson Rec Center in Willie Mae Butler Park. This Thursday, the Dream Court on N. Washington will be dedicated, also at 4:00 pm, at JW Ray Park.
Following the dedications, there will be youth shoot-arounds with the Dallas Police and Nancy Lieberman. Lieberman, founder of the charity named for her, is also a Basketball Hall-of-Famer, and the Assistant Coach of the NBA Sacramento Kings.
Lieberman, and two WorldVentures executive will be in attendance at both dedications. Additionally, Frank and Marisa Howard, Dream Court donors, will be at today’s event while the dedication on December 8 will include Louise Thaxton representing Dream Court donors: The American Warrior Initiative and Fairway Independent Mortgage.
