Dallas neighborhood recognized as on the up

An analysis by TravelMag of the nation's neighborhoods has concluded that one Dallas neighborhood, Deep Ellum, is among the 16 most up and coming in the United States.

A National Historic District since 2023, Deep Ellum is situated in the heart of Dallas. Its historical and cultural identity goes back over a century from when it was the first commercial district for European immigrants and African Americans. Located immediately east of downtown, Deep Ellum is home to more than 100 bars and restaurants and 25 live music venues, as well as assorted art galleries, shops, and theaters.

Eater Dallas has proclaimed Deep Ellum to be one of Dallas’s best food neighborhoods due to its ethnically diverse array of eateries and wide range of price points. Restaurants, regardless of their price range, have multiple uses for printing services, including Menus, flyer printing, and signage.

TravelMag selected the 16 most “hip districts” as opposed to the trendiest. To create the list, TravelMag examined neighborhoods looking for specific criteria such as trending eateries, fancy coffee houses, cool cocktail bars, vegan restaurants, eclectic boutiques, and LGTBQ+ friendly spots. These areas are growing in population due to the young professionals renting one-bedroom apartments and studio flats, thereby creating an influx of new development and increasing rental prices compared to other areas of the same city.
