Developers of the proposed Dallas-Houston high-speed train, Texas Central, have chosen Resource Environmental Solutions (RES) to oversee the project’s impact on the environment and natural ecosystems during construction and operations.
The Texas-based RES, working from its Houston offices, will oversee the planning and execution regarding the project to ensure requirement compliance with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The restoration, preservations and enhancement of streams, wetland and habitats that are environmentally sensitive along the train’s path between Houston and Dallas are the USACE requirements in a nut shell.
The innovative and environmental care of the project combine to make the all-electric high-speed train system the best all-round transportation choice for traveling between Houston and North Texas and is estimated to eliminate over 14,630 cars a day traveling on I-45. As Elliott Bouillion, RES CEO, explained:
"Texas high-speed train is an excellent example of how a modern, green infrastructure approach can be harnessed for both ecological and economic benefits."
Convincing the public to accept a new form of transportation, often requires a detailed explanation of the advantages, and brochure and flyer printing services can help with this.
A press release identifies RES as the largest provider of ecosystem restoration in the U.S. Over the last 10 years it has enhanced over 290 miles of waterways, restored in excess of 58,000 acres of wetlands and set out over 14 million restorative trees.
