New DART station given UT Dallas theme

At the recent quarterly DART meeting, design details for the new Richardson Silver Line rail stations were revealed, and one station will sport a décor paying homage to the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas).

Running east to west, the Silver Line project will connect Plano to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. The city of Richardson will have two stops on the line, making commuting easier for residents and boosting business opportunities in the city.

Any change in transportation options for a community’s population frequently results in local businesses contacting Print shops to refocus their marketing strategy.

The Richardson station celebrating UT Dallas will use the school’s logo as a focal point. The well-known image will be over eight feet high and constructed of metal. According to DART, the design will be positioned in front of the station on a rise and illuminated at night. Lined up along the platform will be metal and limestone columns, each with more modest-sized UTD logos. Moreover, rousing quotations from well-known alumni of UT Dallas are to be incorporated within the design.

Richardson’s other station, the Silver Line’s CityLine-Bush Station, will feature arches and green spaces. This line will join-up with the Red Line not far from the line’s present station.

It is anticipated that the $2bn project will be ready for use by the first quarter of 2023.
