JSX electric-hybrid future on way

JSX, a jet service known for its fast and easy boarding policy, has made plans to add to its fleet of jets with orders for over 300 hybrid-electric airplanes.

Based in Dallas, the air carrier recently issued a release revealing in 2028 they would be taking possession of up to 332 new small hybrid planes. The move is designed to enable them to connect to a number of smaller communities around the country that are presently underserved for air travel.

The state-of-the-art aircrafts will be manufactured by Aura Aero, Heart Aerospace and Electra. Firm orders for 50 Aero Era 19-seat airplanes, 50 Hart Aerospace ES-30, which seat 30; and 32 Electra eSTOL 9-seater aircraft with options for 100, 50 and 50 more airplanes respectively.

Presently the company operates a fleet of 50 semi-private aircraft out of private terminals in an assortment of cities including Dallas, Houston, the Bahamas and Destin, Florida. Recently JSX has shifted its focus to smaller markets. A news release from JSX for instance states:

"JSX has mastered the trifecta of marketing, selling, and operating attainable by-the-seat public charter air service to numerous small communities that have no other regular air service."

Brochure printers can be helpful when it comes to introducing the public to a new service.

The company also reportedly stated that the economic advantage of the airplanes it has contracted to buy would enable JSX to create new air travel options while also expanding existing ones across the country without employing government subsidies.
