Food truck team plans launch of neighborhood restaurant

The food truck team that brought the city of Dallas Tacos, Bites & Beats is turning their culinary attention to a new endeavor: a restaurant-bar called Dulce Nina in the Cedars District.

Jorge Castellanos was in charge of the cooking while partner Vo Singhal handled the marketing for Tacos, Bites & Beats, which the duo founded in 2017. Their successful food truck combined high-energy music with Mexican food with Indian influences creating a party-like atmosphere where the usual burritos, street tacos and quesadillas were sold along with the less common paneer cheese and chicken tinga.

Dulce Nina plans to start with a compact menu featuring gourmet and vegan burgers, hummus and gourmet rub wings. Although verging on fine-dining options, the owners are aiming to make their new venture a comfortable neighborhood watering hole that includes a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine with an outdoor seating area.

By working with their local Print shops, new restaurants are able to maximize the branding effect of their Menus.

Tacos, Bites & Beats began at Harry Hines Bazaar before opening a spinoff restaurant where the former Taco Stop was located. The food truck team closed that restaurant at the close of 2023 to focus on their catering, of which the Dallas Mavericks were on client.

Dulce Nina will be located in a former car battery warehouse at 1800 S. Ervay Street #A and anticipates a January opening.
