A combination café, market and on-demand delivery service called Foxtrot is opening its first location outside of Chicago in Uptown Dallas this summer.
A recent release from Foxtrot has announced the first Dallas location will open at a location on McKinney Avenue where McKinney Avenue Tavern previously did business. A second Dallas location, also opening this summer, has a yet-to-be-announced address and a third Foxtrot will open by the end of the year.
According to the company, Foxtrot was founded in 2013, and is a mix of neighborhood eatery and on-demand delivery service and has become the Windy City’s first choice for morning coffee, late-night treat, or a bite to eat in the middle of the day. Every store includes an all-day café menu, coffee bar, wine by the glass, and draft beer with lounging areas that provide room to relax or work.
Oak Cliff Coffee will be the local roaster for Foxtrot here in Dallas. The Dallas locations will frequently host events where local and national products are introduced to consumers. Young entrepreneurs may find these to be good opportunities for networking and may wish to be sure and have some Business Cards on hand.
Foxtrot’s goal is to personify the neighborhood café while providing 60 minute delivery via its Foxtrot app. Downtown and Uptown are within the delivery zone, as are a handful of Dallas communities. As more stores open, the delivery service area will expand.
