A Dallas first as world-renown decorator show house set to open

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House has spent its 47-year history in Manhattan, but will for the first time also take place in Dallas.

Top interior designers will be invited to take a Dallas home and, using their own vision and talent, transform it into a masterpiece available for public viewing as a fundraiser. According to a Kips Bay Spokeswoman, the selected home will be open to the public from September 25 –toOctober 25.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is internationally recognized. The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club hosts the event each year where illustrious interior designers take a high-end Manhattan home and transform it into a stellar example of classy and sophisticated furnishings, art, and technology.

Part of this year’s proceeds will benefit Dwell with Dignity, a nonprofit that supplies new permanent housing to low-income families. The Dallas-based agency also provides furnishings, bedding, a food-filled pantry and professional interior design.

Postcard and brochure printing offer a way to provide the public with professional images of an event or exhibit that they can enjoy after the event.

The show house has provided Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s with over $25m of its run. Dallas is to be the second satellite location (Palm Beach, Florida was the first) for the event.

Designers have until May 1 to apply to be considered for the event.
