The City of Arlington is looking to ensure that local eateries, suppliers, contractors, and other companies are aware of bid opportunities related to supplying requirements for next summer's FIFA World Cup.
Everything from catered meals to heavy construction to cleaning services will be needed to set up and administer the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the wider North Central Texas region.
In order to remain up to date on future procurement possibilities related to the event this summer, the City is urging Arlington businesses and enterprises of all types and sizes to sign up for the North Texas Business Connect Program. A unique program like this will often require its own Logo Design.
A number of updates including the program were presented during a recent City Council meeting by Jennifer Wichmann, Deputy City Manager, and the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee. The Council was also given the most recent information on issues like how the City is getting ready for the flood of millions of spectators from all over the world, and the anticipated economic effect of the upcoming event.
The North Texas Business Connect Program was created to allow the organizers to interact with regional vendors and optimize their chances of acquiring products and services. For instance, the program website offers 20 bid alternatives for the Dallas Fan Festival build-out.
The World Cup takes place this June and July. Arlington’s AT&T Stadium will host nine matches, starting with Netherlands vs Japan on June 14th.
