Arlington residents will get the chance to keep fit this holiday season thanks to the Holiday 5K, 10K, & Half Marathon at Webb Community Park.
It is an event that gives walkers and runners the chance to take part in one of three race options. Attendees can compete on a scenic out-and-back course through local Arlington neighborhoods.
The organizers have encouraged participants to register early to receive commemorative shirts and festive medals. There are also additional age-group awards for those who choose to sign up for the half-marathon, which requires six laps. Therefore, all families and corporate teams are invited to this community-focused event.
While registration remains open until race morning, there is no on-site registration, and preferred shirt sizes are only guaranteed for early sign-ups. It is also vital that participants arrive early if they wish to take part in the warm-up exercises. The organizers will also provide parking on site to make logistics as easy as possible for those running.
During such events, planners can leverage banner printing to showcase route maps, start times, and parking information for both spectators and participants.
Set for Saturday, December 20, at 8:00 am, the event is open to the general public at a fee between $33.80 - $70.90. To top it off, all finishers will receive a medal to commemorate their achievement.
