Arlington is hosting an event dedicated to stressing the importance of water conservation.
Due in no small part to the ongoing effects of climate change, many locations throughout Texas are experiencing warmer, and drier, summers, and the aptly named WATER Festival intends to illustrate the crucial role that water plays in the local ecosystem.
The main goal is to highlight some of the ways in which this valuable natural resource can be preserved. Guests of all ages are welcome, and a host of hands-on educational activities will be made available.
Some on-site attractions include interactive seminars, activities for children, exhibitions of water-related creatures, and informative seminars. This event is being hosted by Naturalist Supervisor Connor Leferlink. Those who have additional questions about what is in store are encouraged to contact him in advance.
Events associated with environmental conservation will frequently turn to green marketing techniques. The Arlington WATER Festival is being held on Saturday, September 12th from 10 AM to 2 PM. All events will be hosted within the River Legacy Nature Center located at 701 NW Green Oaks Boulevard. This event is free to attend.
