A new location of Jersey Mike’s will be opening in Middletown.
Chris and Janette Hall will be opening their third location of the chain on East Main Road in what was once a Rite-Aid pharmacy. Their other locations are in Fairhaven and Dartmouth. This will be the first Jersey Mike’s in Newport County and joins over 2,000 shops across the country.
The Halls said they were looking for a spot that had access to parking, visibility, and is in a busy hub. This location meets all those requirements and is also part of a strip mall that has recently been updated with a new Chase Bank.
The Halls are also looking to hire team members for the new shop. Print shops can help to spread the word around town about new locations and any jobs being offered with the creation of Flyers and other printed material.
Matt Sheley, Public Affairs Officer for the town, said that many people are excited about the opening of this new shop. He added that the town is always pleased when storefronts that have been vacated get new tenants. He said that this demonstrates the diversity and strength of the economy in town that businesses can still succeed despite the many challenges faced at present.
This shop has a planned opening of Wednesday, February 23.
