Middletown will be hosting its well-liked “Music in Middletown” series once again this summer.
Free shows will be held every Monday in July from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Will Cronin, who oversees the beaches and parks of Middletown, expressed his excitement about the shows this year. He added that each of the bands playing this summer has been highly recommended.
The series will kick off with a special birthday celebration hosted by the America 250 Committee. This promises to be a family-friendly event with food trucks, a free show by the Down City Band, and BankNewport sponsoring the fireworks. This event will be next Wednesday, July 1 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at Second Beach.
The other shows coming up next month will feature Princess June on the first Monday, Chelley Knight & The Dope Things on the second Monday, Matt & Jimmy Live on the third Monday, and The Naticks as the last show of the month. All these shows will be at Paradise Valley Park.
Second Beach will be the location for the continuation of the series in August with BarFly on August 3, the Jesse Liam Band on August 10, Roger Ceresi & The All Starz on August 17, and The Ravers on August 31.
All Monday night concerts will have food trucks, and the last show of the series will feature a fireworks display. Such special events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.
