Dental services will be offered in Newport County during the month of July for children between 2 and 21 years old.
The Molar Express will be travelling through the county by appointment only; no walk-in services will be offered. This will be a dental office on wheels that is specially designed and will be going to several communities in the area, including Middletown. It will be providing restorative and preventative dental care for children. Those who are between 2 and 17 years old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Molar Express accepts most types of insurance.
The Molar Express is part of the Community Dental program for children of the East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP). EBCAP is a private non-profit organization providing a wide range of health and human services.
A grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England is making the Molar Express possible. The Molar Express is shared with Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket and Comprehensive Community Action Program in Cranston by EBCAP to bring essential dental services throughout Rhode Island.
Flyer printing can be used to inform residents of such services, their locations and hours, and how appointments can be made.
The Molar Express will be at Linden Park on West Main Street from Monday July 15 through Wednesday July 17, as well as Thursday July 25, Tuesday July 30, and Wednesday July 31.
