Several activities and events will be coming to the Middletown area.
The Norman Bird Sanctuary Harvest Fair will feature many activities for the entire family and will include sack races, the Home and Garden competition, live music, and a tent of crafters, as well as a beer tent, food trucks, and prizes.
This will be on Third Beach Road in Middletown on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5. The price of general admission is $14, or $10 for under-18s, and there is no charge for those under three years of age.
Newport Festa Italiana celebrates the accomplishments of Italian American immigrants, and is a way to share their Italian heritage with food, music, dance, and storytelling. The Grounds of Vasco da Gama on Fenner Avenue in Newport will be hosting the festival in the park on Saturday, October 4.
The highlight of the festival is the Italian Heritage Parade on Memorial Boulevard at the Christopher Columbus statue. This honors the original members of the Columbus Monument Committee and descendants with a brief history of the statue, a presentation of wreaths, acknowledgement of descendants, and burial of a time capsule. This parade will take place on Monday, October 13 while the entire festival runs from Friday, September 26 through Monday, October 13.
Such unique and distinctive events can be promoted throughout a region with poster printing.
