Blithewold Mansions, Gardens and Arboretum will continue to celebrate Christmas until the New Year.
Christmas at Blithewold is currently taking place until January, and the theme is "a garden for all". There will be tours of the illuminated gardens, sit-down afternoon teas, Santa singalongs, musical entertainment, and creative workshops for adults and children.
Part of the celebration will be ‘Sparkle!’ This is an outdoor event that takes place every Friday night from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be two performances each night of carolers; some of the groups that will be performing throughout the month are the Mt. Hope High School Chorus, the South Coast Children's Chorus, and the Very Merry Dickens Carolers. Guests can enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores while they view the gardens and then a bonfire.
It is likely that many people from surrounding areas, including Middletown, will take a short trip to take part in one of these events. Local flyer printing companies may be asked to provide advertising materials to ensure as many people know about it as possible.
Christmas at Blithewold continues until January 3 from Tuesday to Sunday, while Sparkle! will be held on December 11, 18, and January 1. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, $10 for students and active military, and $4 for children between the ages of 6 and 17, although there is an additional charge for Sparkle!
