Historic mansions ring in the holiday season

Tickets can now be purchased for Christmas at the Newport Mansions. Residents of Middletown will not want to miss this annual event.

Marble House, The Breakers, and the Elms will be opened for guests to enjoy festive music and live performances, as well as Christmas decorations and special seasonal events. The three houses will have decorations for the holidays with many Christmas trees, evergreens, wreaths, and fresh flowers, with tables in the dining rooms set with period china and silverware. There will also be Gingerbread Mansion replicas, each one of which is an accurate duplication of its namesake house.

Poster printing is often used to promote such events throughout a region.

Among the seasonal events are Holiday Evenings at The Newport Mansions. There will be light refreshments and live music as guests stroll through the rooms of the mansion. This event at The Breakers will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday December 7 and Saturday December 14 followed by Holiday Evening Duet at Marble House and The Elms from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday December 21.

Santa Claus will also be visiting the mansion on three Sunday afternoons. The Breakers will host Santa on Sunday December 1; Marble House will entertain Santa on Sunday December 8; and The Elms will have its visit from Santa on Sunday December 15. These visits will occur between the hours of noon and 3:00 pm.
