Golf tournament backs the Bay

Taking place on Narragansett Bay next month is an annual golf outing for Save the Bay; a foundation that raises funds for the cleanup of the Bay, and to preserve it for future generations.

Golf fees will cover lunch, a cocktail hour, dinner, green fees, and the use of a cart. Players can compete in several competitions, and might like to try their hands at the hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, lowest gross, and lowest net disciplines.

Sponsorships are also available from $3,500 to $20,000. Sponsors will receive recognition both on the course and at the dinner on Signs or Banners.

In addition to raising funds for the organization, this is likely to be a good networking event for businesspeople from all over the area, including Middletown. Many who plan to attend will likely be contacting their local Stationery printers to place new orders for Business Cards. The cards can then be easily placed in a golf bag for quick access during play, or in a pocket or purse during dinner.

The Save the Bay golf outing is being held at the Carnegie Abbey Club on May 19, beginning at 11:00 am. Golf fees for this event are $500 per person or $2,000 for a foursome. For more information about the outing, or to become a sponsor, contact Maureen Fogarty at 401-272-3540 x109.
