The annual Newport Winter Festival returns this month with many activities for children that those from nearby Middletown will want to attend.
The kids will want to attend The Children’s Fair, which will take place at Gurney’s Newport Resort. There will be dancing, music, magic, and games, among many other activities, including a live reptile show. This event will take place on Monday, February 18.
The following day, there will be a Princess Party at the OceanCliff Castle in Newport where attendees can wear their favorite princess attire and enjoy a royal afternoon, where there will be songs, stories, and other activities.
At the Newport Harbor Hotel, a Teddy Bear Tea will be held where children can bring their favorite teddy bear and listen to stories told by Christopher ‘Kavi’ Carbone, a musical storyteller. He will share songs and stories about winter, while adults can partake of tea and children will have milk and cookies. This event will take place on Thursday, February 21.
Also on the Thursday will be Live Jazz For Kids at the Greenvale Vineyards. Children will be entertained with songs they know, but played in a jazz-type setting. Refreshments will be free for children and adults can purchase wine for tasting.
Such recurring festivals often turn to poster printing to
garner enthusiasm in the community and encourage people to attend.
