Warminster area fills boot for first responders

The members of a Warminster area fire company donate their time to help keep their community safe, and one of its annual fundraisers has been scheduled for next month.

The members of Ivyland Fire Company are asking the public to “give a hoot and fill the boot”, during its fall fundraiser. Large or small, all contributions will be appreciated, and they will support the work of this all-volunteer first responder team.

The Company will have a collection station set up at the intersection of West Bristol Road and Jacksonville Road in Ivyland, and the organizers have asked everyone to let their friends and neighbors know about the fundraiser and how they can help. The monies will be used for equipment, training, and community outreach.

Fundraisers that are a little outside of the box often attract a lot of public support, which can increase their chance of success. An eye-catching banner can help to gain even more attention, and can be prepared by a banner printing company.

The Ivyland Fire Company will have collection buckets and personnel on hand for this day of gathering small change to make a big impact on Saturday, September 13. It will run from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. In the event of bad weather, the activity will be rescheduled to the next day.
