Warminster women to attend home repair workshop

Knowing how to perform simple home repairs can save both time and money, and the women who take part in an upcoming Warminster area workshop will learn how to do it.

The Empowered Homeowner Summit is on the way to the area, and it will be a hands-on experience for its attendees. The atmosphere will be high energy, and everyone can attend on their own or with a friend, adult daughter, or another woman who may benefit.

Participants will pick up practical skills such as using a drill, caulking gun, and other hand tools, and plumbing basics will also be on the agenda. Home safety will be discussed as well, and everyone will learn how to deal with contractors when choosing one for major home repairs or renovations. There will be practice stations set up, and a portion of the money raised will be donated to Laurel House.

Workshops and other activities where information is shared may require handouts to distribute, and Print shops will be happy to help. They can provide a full line of printing work, including preparing Letterheads and other custom documents for the occasion.

The Empowered Homeowner Summit will give women some home repair tips on Saturday, May 2, beginning at 9:00 am at the Horsham Community Center. Additional information is available on its Patch listing.
