Late August sees the natural areas begin their transition to fall, and a Warminster activity is set to be inspired by the natural world and its shifts in season.
Lindsay Farm Preserve will be providing living evidence that even small changes can make a big impact when it comes to supporting pollinators. It will run for two hours and will depart from 545 Almshouse Road.
While the participants stroll through the preserve, they will learn how the Heritage Conservancy has made changes at the location that led to a thriving diverse ecosystem. They can ask questions and find out how to recreate this on their own property. It will also highlight how the Conservancy has become a trusted local resource when it comes to creating thriving meadow habitats.
Becoming a good environmental steward can be easier when workshops, classes, and other learning sessions help point the way. Print shops will be pleased to provide any materials required for an educational activity.
The Planning for Pollinators: Meadow Inspiration Tour walking workshop will visit Lindsay Preserve on Saturday, August 29. Registration is required, and tickets start at $10. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive by no later than 10:00 am. A link for those wishing to register is on offer on the Heritage Conservancy website, and Conservancy members may access a discounted ticket price.
