Warminster girls attend career conference

Warminster girls who attend an upcoming event will walk away with confidence that can help them with their post-secondary studies and beyond, and a local country club will be the location for the activity.

Soroptimist International of Indian Rock, Inc. (SIIR) recently announced that it will be running a full day activity that will give girls tools they can use as they move from high school into adulthood. There's no registration fee being charged, and its agenda includes a variety of topics.

The participants in the activity will explore a variety of career options, and they will also find out how they can make their dreams happen. Creating achievable goals and not letting obstacles stand in their way will be on the agenda, and tips for transforming dreams into action will be discussed as well. Lunch and breakfast will be provided, and if needed, transportation to and from the venue may be available.

One of the things the girls will be invited to do during the activity is to apply for one of the club's scholarships. They will also receive several Corporate Gifts, including a dream box, journal and certificate of participation.

Warminster's high school age girls who are interested in being part of this event are welcome to register through its web listing. It will take place at Spring Mill Country Club on March 7th.
