The Downtown Stroudsburg Business Association is hosting its annual Winterfest this February.
The festival will include a variety of activities and promotions, and it will feature more than 50 different zoo-themed ice sculptures. The sculptures will be located in Courthouse Square and throughout the downtown area. Warming stations, which will be based in participating organizations’ buildings, will offer opportunities for attendees to take a break from the cold indoors. A map of the ice sculptures and warming stations will be posted on the Stroudsburg town website closer to the event.
Storytime sessions will take place throughout the afternoon. The Eastern Monroe Public Library’s Bookmobile will also visit the event. The Bookmobile offers a selection of Books and other library services. In addition to community events, it visits places like senior centers and nursing homes to make books accessible for those who cannot visit the library in person.
Many of the businesses in downtown Stroudsburg will be offering special deals or promotions during the event. Businesses often use poster printing services to advertise their participation in community celebrations. The Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation Commission will be running a scavenger hunt. Those who solve the puzzle will be entered to win a grand prize. Details are available on the Stroud Recreation website.
Winterfest in Downtown Stroudsburg will take place on Saturday, February 15 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
